“Masks mandates accounted for less than a 0.5% decrease in COVID case growth” CDC reports
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a report Friday March 5, 2021 (https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7010e3.htm) in which it quietly admitted that the mask mandates in America were responsible for less than a 2 percent decrease in COVID case growth after ONE HUNDRED DAYS. But still the CDC advises wearing masks, despite their own numbers and statements saying masks made no difference.
CDC Reports: During March 1–December 31, 2020, state-issued mask mandates applied in 2,313 (73.6%) of the 3,142 U.S. counties.

Mask mandates were associated with a 0.7% decrease in daily COVID-19 death growth rates
Mask mandates were associated with a 1.9% decrease in daily COVID-19 death growth rates
Daily case and death growth rates after mask mandates were NOT STATISTICALLY DIFFERENT. No effect whatsoever

The CDC further states that there was nothing statistically different in daily death growth rates between 41-60 days BEFORE reopening compared to 41-60 days AFTER reopening. Think of that being a 4 month period where restaurants were closed for the first 2 months and open for the second 2 months. Zero statistical difference. Means Masks do absolutely nothing to stop a virus, this is not new knowledge, we have always known this until April 2020. Strange right?
YOU HAVE TO NOTICE THE PROPAGANDA PIECE THEY PLACED IN THE MIDDLE OF REPORT.
The notice says rates went down BUT they don’t say they ONLY went down 0.5 to 1.9% – which is in the margin of error, meaning, made no difference. They also do not mention that the increase was not NOT STATISTICALLY DIFFERENT (translation – Made zero difference) as they do in the report.
They are hoping you will not read the data and just look at the pretty propaganda image. In data like this, variations of 0.5 to 1.9% are statistically insignificant as they are too small to know why the change happened at all.
The CDC has the Orwellian audacity to write later that “Mask mandates were associated with statistically significant decreases in county-level daily COVID-19 case and death growth rates within 20 days of implementation..” in a study where the difference is within the margin of error.

More CDC data found that those wearing masks made up 85% of new infections and those that did not wear masks only 8%. Again more CDC data showing not only that masks do not work but increase infections. States that mandated masks have higher infection rates than states that did not mandate masks.
Below shows mask usage and new infections. As you can see they had zero effect on stopping infections.
