Watch Al Gore Cry The Sky Is Falling 30 years ago saying we only have 10 years left, Then Gets 100 million dollars from big oil

Al Gore was saying in 1992 that the ice caps were going to melt, the Amazon rainforests were going to disappear, the ozone layer was going to erode, and the oceans were going to die.

Rush nails it. For 30+ years, the alarmist politicians have been crying wolf and telling us we’re all gonna die in 10 years if we don’t give them more money and power than God.

Their tactics haven’t changed one bit since before Al Gore was vice president.

And yet the polar ice caps are still there, the Great Barrier Reef is doing better than ever before, the ozone layer was ditched 20 years ago as a talking point, and the Earth is greening. Whales and other species vital to reducing carbon are surging in population. Deforestation remains an issue, but in many nations there are more forests than ever before as sustainable logging and new technology reduces the demand for wood as a source material (if you want to stop carbon emissions, make the world’s poor as rich as possible as fast as possible so they don’t have to chop down trees).

One might say that the solution for whatever global warming or cooling trends happen is not to give fear-mongering politicians money to build oceanfront mansions that were supposed to be underwater 20 years ago, but to invest in human creativity and ingenuity.

Al Gore sells out his Environmental Channel to Big Oil for estimated $500 mil, then tries to dodge taxes on it

Former Vice President Al Gore has made himself a much, much richer man by selling his cable channel Current TV to the Emir of Qatar-funded Arab news channel Al-Jazeera. Strange he would sell an environmental media company to BIG OIL?

Gore netted $100 million with his 20 percent stake in the network when it was sold for a reported $500 million on Wednesday.

Al-Jazeera plans to euthanize the struggling, seven-year-old Current TV and turn it into Al-Jazeera America by adding five to 10 new U.S. bureaus beyond the five it has now. More than half of its content will be U.S. news, and the network will have its headquarters in New York, according to a rep.

The “Daily Show” host challenged the former vice president over the sale to a Qatar-backed entity, saying, “You had an opportunity to make a statement about your principles.”

Though often a friendly face for Democratic politicians, Jon Stewart pulled no punches in an interview with Al Gore broadcast Wednesday night.

Gore has faced blowback from the sale of his news network Current TV to Al Jazeera, which is backed by the oil-rich Middle Eastern nation of Qatar. The networked fetched $500 million, a fifth of which Gore is pocketing — troubling to some, given his fierce advocacy against climate change.
